How it works
In cranes, the load capacity decreases when increasing the distance from the crane center of rotation.
This app calculates the decrease along the load curve given the percentage of moment for a determinate load at determinate radius.
For correct calculations, the target radius and target load must be between manufacturer’s load chart selected points. Selecting a target radius smaller than radius 1 could give a wrong capacity result.
Always use the manufacturer’s load chart assigned to the crane. Load charts may vary even with same model cranes.
